Privacy Policy

RentCora is a property management platform operated by RentCora (“RentCora”, “we”, “us”). This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use RentCora, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Account data. When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and password (stored only as a hash). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile image from Google. You may optionally upload a profile image and a KHQR payment code image.

Usage and session data. We record your IP address and browser user agent with each session for security purposes, such as protecting sign-ins and applying rate limits.

Content you upload. Property details (including addresses), tenant records, tenancies, invoices, meter readings, payment records, and images such as property photos and payment receipts.

Diagnostics. We use Sentry for error monitoring. Error reports may include masked session recordings — inputs and page text are masked — plus request URLs and device information. We do not run advertising or analytics trackers.

We use personal data to: provide the service (accounts, properties, invoicing, payments, and reports); send transactional email such as address verification and password resets; deliver in-app and Telegram notifications you choose to enable; keep accounts secure; and diagnose and fix errors.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.

RentCora is a tool used by landlords. Tenant profiles — names, contact details, national ID numbers, dates of birth, emergency contacts, and lease records — are entered and controlled by the landlord account that created them, not by us. The landlord is responsible for the lawfulness of that data and for informing the people it describes.

If you believe a RentCora landlord holds personal data about you and you would like it removed, contact us at support@rentcora.com and we will remove the data where appropriate.

Sharing an invoice creates a public link that shows the tenant name, invoice amounts, and payment status to anyone with the link. Landlords control who they share it with.

We share personal data only with the service providers needed to run RentCora: Vercel (application hosting), Sentry (error monitoring and masked session replay), Novu (transactional email and notification delivery, including Telegram notifications), Tigris (cloud storage for images you upload), and Google (sign-in, if you use Google sign-in). These providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies.

We may also disclose data when required by law. We do not sell personal data.

We use only functional cookies and local storage: a sign-in session cookie, your language preference, your theme choice, and whether the sidebar is open. We do not use advertising, analytics, or cross-site tracking cookies.

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account in Settings, deletion is immediate and permanent: your account and all associated data — properties, units, tenants, tenancies, invoices, and payments — are removed from our database. Residual copies are removed from backups within 30 days.

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections. Passwords are stored only as hashes, sign-in is rate-limited, and we never store bank account numbers — RentCora records payments; it never processes or holds your money.

No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us at support@rentcora.com.

You can access, correct, export, or delete your personal data at any time. Most of this is available directly in the app, including self-service account deletion. You may also contact us at support@rentcora.com to exercise these rights.

This policy is written to align with Cambodia’s Law on Personal Data Protection (2021). If you are located elsewhere and local law grants you additional rights, contact us and we will do our best to honor them.

RentCora is not intended for anyone under 18, and you must be at least 18 years old to create an account.

We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email, and the “last updated” date on this page always reflects the current version.
